3. Character Information II
Age/Appearance:
Theo has always been tall and a little gangly. At 18, he's topped out at 6'0, although sometimes gives the impression of being taller with how thin he is, and is built mostly of long limbs and a few sharp corners. He's not the most graceful person, but manages to hold himself carefully and with enough confidence that he isn't a complete mess.

His style of dress easily betrays the wealth his family holds and when he's out of his school uniform Theo prefers tailored cuts and high quality fabrics in muted tones. He takes a lot of pride in his appearance and, unless there's a good reason for it, it's very rare to see him looking unkempt.

History: A general overview can be found here.

There are a few points I’d like to elaborate for Theo because, while they rely on a little bit of headcanon, they’re build off of the brief canon we’re given for him and I think they really help round out his character.

• Theo was the product of a very carefully arranged marriage. His mother, while not from a very noteworthy family, was still of a respectable and pure bloodline. She was a kind-hearted woman that Theo was quite close to in his childhood, but who was unfortunately of poor health. She died when Theo was eight, and through a stroke of incredibly bad luck, he was present when she finally passed away from an unknown illness. His father, though no doubt hit hard with the death of his wife, encouraged Theo to bear the pain of her loss with a set shoulders and a brave face rather than tears. Theo and his father drifted even farther apart in their relationship, and Theo took to spending even more of his time hiding away in his room, avoiding as much interaction with other people as he could. He tends to go to great lengths to avoid talking about his mother or her death. In addition, because he was present when she passed, he is able to see Thestrals.

• The Nott family wasn’t exactly silent about their stance on pureblood supremacy, and as his father had proudly taken his place as one of Voldemort’s original followers, it only made sense to the man that his own son would eventually follow his lead. Theo was marked at the age of 16 following his father’s escape from Azkaban in the 1996 breakout. Theo wanted no part of it, but with the growing instability of Voldemort and his followers, and the worsening condition that the Wizarding World was falling into, he took his initiation without protest. Understandably, Theo was resentful, but was smart enough to make no comment.

• His seventh year was rough. Not as rough as it could have been, of course, but as someone who didn't believe in any of what was going on it certainly wasn't easy. Theo did his best to keep his head down and out of the interest of the Death Eaters that overtook the castle as the students’ new Professors. He actively avoided taking part in any of the harassment and torture of the other students(as much as he could, anyway) and quietly did what he could to help his friends and housemates who weren't as lucky.

• When the Battle of Hogwarts broke out, Theo decided immediately that no matter what it took, he was going to get out of it alive. He had been in the castle when the attacks began, and through the chaos of half of the school coming down around them and the curses flying though the air, Theo managed to protect himself well enough to get to safety. It was a cowardly and disgraceful move, but Theo couldn't care less if it meant that he would still be breathing when the last of the fighting had died away. Upon the Battle's end, and learning that Voldemort had actually been defeated, Theo joined those gathered in the Great Hall, keeping to a small group of other Slytherins who had survived and avoiding any sign of his father.

• It was inevitable that the Ministry would come after what Death Eaters remained following the end of the war. Association was as good of a reason for a prison sentence as anything else and with a mark on his arm and more people able to label him as a Voldemort supporter than Theo would have liked, he made one of the most dangerous decisions of his life: he sold them out before they could do the same to him. With no actually crimes to tie him to, the Ministry was willing to grant Theo immunity provided he agreed to give them any information he had and testify against those they'd arrested when the trials began. Theo agreed quickly, perhaps too quickly, because he had no way of knowing how difficult it was going to be to face his own father in a courtroom and help sentence him to life in Azkaban. During the trials and for some time after, Theo kept his head down and spent more time in doors than out, trying to avoid as much retaliation from the families of Death Eaters and Voldemort supporters as he could.

Personality:
Theo is anything but your stereotypical Slytherin. While he’s not entirely without his share of elitism or ego, he’s much more quiet about it than some of his housemates. He isn’t one to seek the limelight and often times finds himself uneasy in any situation where the attention is primarily focused on him unless there’s an opportunity for him to slip into the background. This isn’t due to a lack of confidence; Theo is as self-assured as any seventeen year old can be, but he’s much better suited to lingering on the sidelines where he can observe and assess what is going on before including himself into it.

He’s a clever boy, but one with more books than friends. Theo is quite eager when it comes to the pursuit of knowledge and determined enough that he hates to admit that he can't do something once he's put his mind to it. He’s learned to be a string-puller early on in lieu of using muscle(which he sorely lacks) to get his way, and he's been known to be subtly manipulative when there is something on the horizon that's caught his attention. He would always rather find someone else to do the heavy-lifting for him, of course, but he isn't above getting his own hands dirty if left with little other option.

Having always been something of a loner, Theo has trouble connecting emotionally with other people beyond superficial niceties and not even seven years shoved into interactions with his peers could completely shake the strong inclination he has to spend his time by himself. He's wary of the intentions of others and has a hard time trusting that he'll be done right by if he puts himself out in a way that makes him vulnerable. This is most likely the product of too many unresolved emotions regarding his mother's death that Theo doesn't know how to deal with and so he keeps people at a distance to not be hurt by them if they disappear from his life. Instead Theo has walls that he keeps up high around himself while he carefully picks and chooses what he'd like others to know about him, always trying to keep the upper hand on the off chance that the tables turn against him.

He does make the effort when he thinks it will benefit him, though, and through a lot of awkward conversations and learning how to socialize himself better, Theo managed to secure a small group of friends that he genuinely enjoys being around and who he’s incredibly loyal to. Of course, even loyalty has it’s boundaries and Theo is much more interested in his own well-being than anyone else’s. He’s definitely more likely to chose flight over fight, especially if he doesn’t think the likelihood of coming out ahead is very good and while he’s more than happy to use whatever resources he has available to him to help someone he’s close to, the chances that he would put himself into bodily harm for another person are slim to none.

Theo doesn’t exactly subscribe to the pureblood mania that hit a large majority of his housemates and their families(his own included), but he does harbor his fair share of judgments and a softer-spoken sort of superiority complex. He’s wary of Muggles, mostly due to the environment he was raised in and the lack of knowledge he's been given about them. He believes that they aren’t worth very much of his time and while Muggleborn or halfblooded witches and wizards don’t quite reach the same level of dismissal or scorn from him, Theo still considers himself a good deal above them. He doesn’t always make these views obvious, though, especially when holding his silence or adopting a more neutral stance is likely to serve him much better and he doesn’t go out of his way to be cruel for the sake of being cruel. He isn’t violent by nature and would rather avoid fighting if at all possible, preferring to find a way to diffuse the situation rather than get himself caught in any unnecessary cross-fire.

Sexual Preferences/Orientation:
Theo falls at about a four on the Kinsey scale and his sexuality is best described as opportunistic. He has a preference for men, but that doesn't mean he hasn't pursued females in the past and certainly won't exclude them from any future escapades if he finds one he's attracted to.

He prefers one night stands and casual friends-with-benefits arrangements to actual relationships and is the first one to run at the first sign someone is expecting him to get into something serious. It's not that he's incapable of love or that he doubts his ability to be faithful in a traditional monogamous relationship, but rather that Theo has too many emotional hang ups to be comfortable enough to trust most people to the level required to make a real relationship work. This isn't to say that a committed relationship is out of the question for him, but it would be a very slow moving process as Theo works through his issues.

As far as sex goes, Theo is a huge fan and has very few boundaries. He enjoys having as often as he can get away with and is fairly open to trying new things with the right partner. Being a little weak-kneed in the face of power isn't something Theo has been spared from and his biggest fetish is probably that of authority figures or anyone firm enough and confident enough to occasionally take the control out of his hands. He likes a partner that will prove a challenge and 'shameless' is a little bit of an understatement as he rarely has any regrets or guilt when it comes to his sexual exploits.

Powers: This explains magic in Harry Potter very nicely.

Theo’s capabilities follow the general theme of magic in the Harry Potter world and he’s able to perform his magic by using a wand accompanied by either verbal or nonverbal incantations. He can also perform small amount of wandless magic, but as this area is rather difficult for even incredibly accomplished wizards, Theo’s abilities are basic at best.

For the most part, Theo is a fairly adept wizard whose strengths lie in potion making, and charmwork; he has some additional training in the Dark Arts, including the three Unforgivable Curses. His only other skill worth making note of is his ability to Apparate—that is, to essentially teleport between locations of his choosing. This, like anything else, has it’s limitations and trying to cover long distances(such as continent hopping) or apparating to unfamiliar areas may end in a very painful process called ‘splinching’ where body parts are lost.

The only possession Theo will be bringing with him is his wand: 10 ¼ inches long and made of cedar wood with a dragon heartstring core and, if possible, I would like Theo to have access to his family's Gringotts vault.

Reason for playing:
I basically have a fetish for tall, noodle-like British boys and minor characters who only have enough canon written down to be a horrible tease for my imagination. I really like the fact that canon hints that Theo isn't the sort to be easily led and that he's not only intelligent, but also more independent than some of his house mates. He is not, however, completely above the sort of bullying behaviors that people like Draco Malfoy are more known for and I think that, considering the time he comes from, these things make for a very interesting character that I'd love to keep expanding on.

I think Bete Noir would be a great setting for him because Theo is, at heart, a pretty conflicted character. He was raised with a certain set of ideals that he can't bring himself to completely subscribe to, but that he can't completely break away from, either, which leaves him more than a little confused on where to go or what to do next. Being in the city will probably only make this worse for a while and it's going to be a new challenge for Theo not to be swayed by some his darker inclinations that were much easier to ignore in his home world.

Third-Person #2:
Theo pressed his cock forward with a rough groan of approval at the hot, perfect heat that welcomed him as the body below his own shuddered hard. This was his favorite part-- the quiet that fell before lust overrode what rational thought was left, the lull in time where he could revel in every twitching muscle, every breathless sound the other boy made as he rolled his hips slowly, impatiently, back to take in more of Theo. Another time, he might have made a playful quip or insisted drawing it out, teasing until he was begged otherwise, but Theo didn't have the self-control to commit to anything other than the greedy hunger that was slowly but surely consuming his senses.

Theo curled one hand firmly around his lover's hip, stilling his movements and earning a frustrated sound for his efforts, as his other hand skated the length of the other boy's back. His tongue followed his finger tips, lapping against the subtle ridges of his spine until his teeth found the easy curve of a shoulder and Theo's fingers tangled themselves in the others fine blond hair. He tightened them, biting down into flawless skin as he thrust forward and buried himself as deeply as he could, pleased when another shuddering, broken moan followed.

It was impossible to think, impossible to do anything more than fall into a steady, demanding rhythm and mindless pleasure while the quiet dissolved away into the slick slide of skin against skin. He was too hot, too over sensitive already, and Theo growled into the blond's skin as his hips snapped forward, twisting the pale locks tighter between his fingers and twisting to pull the other into a hard, desperate kiss. He couldn't last long like this, not in this kind of frenzied fuck, but he could feel all the signs of the blond being pushed closer and closer to the edge in the way he writhed, the way tensed against Theo's body and clawed his long fingers against the Slytherin's neck.

Still, Theo can wait, he can hold out just long enough for the blond to be pushed to his limits and Theo reaches to curl his free hand around the others prick, squeezing him, stroking him, and it was over. The blond cursed viciously as he came, practically snarling through his release as Theo was pulled under the dizzying waves of pleasure with him, snapping at the others lips as his muscles quaked.
